I have lived in Carthage nearly all my life. It is truly an honor to be able to come back and work at CHS. I believe wholeheartedly in the Carthage R9 district and the steps that it takes to care for and educate students.
I graduated from CHS in 2009. While in HS I was involved in various sports, namely captain of the football team my senior year. I was also actively involved in FBLA, DECA, and FCA. After graduating I then continued my education at Missouri Southern. At the time of graduating HS I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life, but knew I wanted to choose a profession that would allow me to give back and change lives. And here I am today, teaching and coaching at CHS. I graduated in four years from MSSU in 2013 with a degree in Business Education.

I taught business classes at Joplin High School for one year before having the opportunity to return to CHS. I am starting my fifth school year at Carthage, this is my second year teaching Business classes. Prior to that, I was a special education teacher.
My wife and I got married on January 16, 2016 and live in Carthage. We don't have any kids. But do have a Lab named Kota. She runs our house, not us.
